A Nigerian man who was attacked in Italy by a racist has received due compensation for the bodily harm done to him.

A 25-year old Italian man has been sentenced to one year and eight months in jail for attacking a Nigeria migrant.
Giuseppe D'Amore hit Fredrick Omonzokpia with a jack in Bagherua on August, 31, 2018 after spotting him in front of an ice-cream shop and getting offended by his skin colour.
According to reports, D'Amore initially told Omonzokpia to return to his country. A fight later broke out between the duo, but they were separated.
However, the convict later returned with a jack and hit Omonzokpia with it. At the court, on Thursday, the victim was awarded 5000 Euros in compensation.
