EFCC Releases Former Governor Dakingari on Bail After 8Hours of Interrogation

Former Kebbi State Governor who was quizzed by the EFCC over allegations of money laundering, has been released on bail.

It will be recalled that the former Governor, Usman Seidu Dakingari, was interrogated by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) on monday.

Dakingari who arrived the EFCC headquarters at about 10a.m., was questioned by the operatives of the anti-graft agency

EFCC, spokesman, Mr. Wilson Uwujaren could not confirm the development, saying: “I will have to confirm and get back to you.”

According to THISDAY, Dakingari, was released on bail after over eight hours of interrogation by senior operatives of the anti-graft agency.
EFCC’s spokesman, Mr. Wilson Uwujiaren, however confirmed that the ex-governor was asked to go home at about 6 p.m.

But, an insider in the commission said the ex-governor, who is being investigated for alleged financial deals and money laundering, might return to the EFCC later in the week for further interrogation.
