Presidential spokesperson, Lauretta Onochie has been caught redhanded spreading fake news about Peoples Democratic Party Presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar.
Lauretta was busted using fake photos alleging that the photos were from Atiku’s campaign in Sokoto State yesterday.
But a simple google search about the photo by
TORI NEWS revealed that the photos belonged to Nollywood actress, Ruth Eze. She shared the photos during
last year's Valentine which saw her share food and money to the needy in Ajegunle area of Lagos.
Lauretta Onochie who shared the fake news on her Twitter/Facebook, wrote:
"KEEP THEM IN POVERTY, THEN GIVE THEM HANDOUTS- ATIKU in Sokoto yesterday
That’s why they are angry about our poverty alleviation programme, the Social Investment Programmes that empower traders, small and medium entrepreneurs and the poor, to improve their earnings and have better standards of living.
