Cyber Stalking: Court Grants Activist, Adeyanju Bail

A former Peoples Democratic Party director of new media, Adeyanju has been granted bail by the court.

Political activist and Coordinator of Concerned Nigerians, Deji Adeyanju has been granted bail by a Chief Magistrate Court in Wuse Zone 2, Abuja over alleged cyber offences.
 
Magistrate Idiat Akanni on Thursday ordered Adeyanju to produce two sureties and the sum of N500, 000 bail bonds.
 
The magistrate ordered that the sureties must be civil servants of not less than Grade Level 12, and must produce an utility bill.
 
The Chief of Army Staff, General Tukur Burutai had charged Adeyanju with promoting terrorism on social media.
 
Adeyanju was earlier arraigned before a Magistrate Court in Karshi, Abuja by the Inspector General of Police, Ibrahim Idris on cyber stalking, inciting disturbance and joint act of criminal defamation in the court.
