FRSC Boss Orders Re-Arrest of Traffic Offender Detained By Governor Fayose

The Corps Marshal of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Mr Boboye Oyeyemi, has issued a warrant for the immediate re-arrest of a purported FRSC official who was last Friday, detained by Governor Ayodele Fayose of Ekiti, for allegedly violating traffic laws.

 
According to Vanguard, the FRSC Boss, said Mr. Adeola Alabi who was arrested by the Governor, for driving against traffic along Sawmill area of Ikere in Ekiti State, impersonated a corps official, adding that there is no record of Alabi, being a member of staff of the FRSC.

According to the Head Media Relations and Strategy, Bisi Kazeem, the Peugeot 505 vehicle driven by the offender with vehicle marked AG 738 FGB, as well as the owner is under investigation and the Corps has taken a position to expose the offender who is now guilty of impersonation to evade justice.

Kazeem also added that the Corps Marshal forbids that any FRSC staff violates traffic laws in the name of being members of the Corps.

According to him, the FRSC boss further reiterated his resolve to find out the identity of the suspect and to ensure that a thorough investigation is conducted while the offender is prosecuted accordingly.
