Photos have shown the cringe-worthy moment three young women were humiliated publicly in Akwa Ibom state.
The yet-to-identified women were reportedly disgraced after they were allegedly caught stealing cloths in a boutique in Uyo, the state capital.
Local reports show that the ladies who pretended to be customers were nabbed red-handed by one of the staff at the boutique after suspecting their movements. Upon being searched, clothing items were found in their possession.
The ladies were forced to sit on the ground and were filmed by the workers who blasted and embarrassed them.
It is not known if the women thereafter were let to go or if they were handed over to police officers for prosecution.
