Residents of a South African town of KwaZulu-Natal were thrown into shock and mourning mood when hoodlums murdered a family of eight in the early hours of the morning.
The mass murder took place in Mabaleni near Mtwalume in the south of the province.
Already, the Police in KwaZulu-Natal are questioning three suspects following the murder.
The Police's Jay Naicker says while a motive has not yet been established, the matter has been handed over to the Hawks for further investigation.
“It’s alleged an unknown group of individuals attacked the family at their homestead. Police found the bodies of eight people on the scene.
"The bodies belonged to four adults and four children. It seems like they were hacked to death,” Naicker said.
