A suspect has confessed to the police after he was arrested for luring his 16-year-old Facebook friend to a hotel before holding her hostage.

A Nigerian man identified as Vincent Idumonyi has confessed after he was apprehended by police operatives for abducting a 16-year-old secondary school girl in Benin city, Edo state.
It was gathered that the suspect met his victim on Facebook where she released her phone number to him after they became friends.
After a month of chatting, the suspect arranged to meet with the girl in a hotel in the town where he kidnapped her for three days and sexually assaulted her.
He threatened to inject her with a deadly substance if she raised an alarm, a situation which led to her being raped by the suspect.
Vincent then contacted the girl’s family to demand for some money before her release.
The family eventually parted ways with N382,000.
The victim herself revealed that the suspect who threatened her also with a knife, had sex with her twice in the hotel.
