The APC in rivers state has said that Rotimi Chibuike Amaechi's performance at the Senate is a big slap on the face of Nyesom Wike and his co-conspirators.

Rotimi Chibuike Amaechi

The Rivers State chapter of the APC has hailed ex Governor, Rotimi Chibuike Amaechi's performance before the Senate yesterday, saying he shamed his enemies who had wanted him to fail.

This was contained in a statement by the Dr. Davies Ibiamu Ikanya, the Chairman of Rivers state chapter of the APC. He added that Nyesom Wike's plan to frustrate the good work of Amaechi were shattered by forces greater than Wike, adding that Amaechi's five star performance showed he is a man who understands the dynamics of government.

The statement reads:

"Today, October, 22, 2015, will remain evergreen in the history of democracy in our dear country and particularly to Rivers state and her people because it is a day on which the efforts Chief Nyesom Wike, the Governor of Rivers state to deny Rivers State a slot in the Federal Executive Council fell like a pack of cards.
We also wish to convey our gratitude to President Muhammadu Buhari for sticking with Amaechi, having seen his sterling qualities and the hollowness of the allegations against him by Wike and his co-conspirators. It can only take a Lion of Niger Delta politics to conduct and comport himself the excellent way he did.
Amaechi showed dignified composure and a deep understanding of the dynamics of government. With the star performance of Rt. Hon. Amaechi during the screening, a new star in our national politics is born."

Ikanya said Wike will end his days in EFCC net once his tenure as governor ends, after failing woefully to defend his corrupt practices when he was Minister of Education under the discredited Goodluck Jonathan administration.

He called him Mordecai of the bible, and termed Wike as a greedy man filled with hatred for good things. Ikanya commended President Buhari for sticking with Amaechi, as he is a man worthy of a ministerial post.
