President Buhari, on Sunday, reacted to the endorsement of PDP Presidential Candidate, Atiku Abubakar by the Socio-cultural bodies; including Afenifere, Ohanaeze Ndigbo, Northern Elders Forum, Pan-Niger Delta Forum and the Middle Belt Forum.

Reacting, Garba Shehu, the senior special assistant to the president on media and publicity, in a statement made available to newsmen on Sunday described the endorsement by the socio-cultural groups as ‘irrelevant’.

Shehu noted that the ‘gang up’ by these socio-cultural group will have no effect on Buhari being re-elected in Feb. 16, just like in 2015.

The statement read: “The Peoples Democratic Party is hiding in the bunker of ethnicity to avoid their inevitable defeat but that won’t change anything.

“The current scenario resembles efforts to stop Muhammadu Buhari in 2015 by the same characters."
