Some residents of the Boko Haram-infested Maiduguri area of Borno State showed a total rejection of the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party - Atiku Abubakar.

Some of the residents in action

Former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar visited the Ramat Square yesterday to campaign to the people. Not too long after he left, some youths rolled out tankers of water and brooms and then started washing the arena to show their absolute rejection of his message.

The youths sang the praises of the incumbent leader, President Muhammadu Buhari as they washed the Ramat Square.

Some social media users have laughed off their action which they termed a choreographed plan by members of the ruling All Progressives Congress.

Borno State remains a stronghold of President Muhammadu Buhari.
