Some political thugs have been apprehended while allegedly trying to steal ballot boxes in a polling station in Abia.
Thugs arrested
Ten suspected thugs have been arrested from different locations in Bende local government of Abia State.
According to reports, they were apprehended over allegation of attempting to snatch ballot boxes.
This is happening after President Buhari warned that anybody involved in ballot box snatching during the February 23rd and March 6th general elections will pay with his or her live.
But the Nigeria Police Force said it would not shoot political thugs who snatch ballot boxes on election day, but would instead apprehend them and ensure that they are prosecuted in line with the relevant sections of the Electoral Act.
