A police officer who could not hold back his pain, has done the unthinkable after he caught his wife cheating.
According to MyZimbabwe, a police officer attached to the Border Control Unit in Beitbridge, south Zimbabwe, Donald Fambawapota, took his life by hanging on Friday, October 23, after he discovered that his best friend has been having sex on a regular basis with his wife.
The MyZimbabwe report said that the 32-year-old Fambawapota had been living separately from his wife for eight months, during which time his friend got into her life and they began having an affair.
Few weeks before he committed suicide, Fambawapota got to know that his best friend was actually sleeping with his estranged wife.
When the officer confronted his wife, she allegedly told him to his face that she was in love with the new man and would not want to have anything to do with her husband any longer.
Fambawapota was alleged to have raided the two love birds in the house they cohabited together and he was reported to the police unit which charged him and was summoned to appear in court on the day he committed suicide.
But unable to bear the shame, he hung himself at the house where he was a tenant in the Shule Shule area of Dulibadzimu suburb.
