Governor Abubakar Atiku Bagudu of Kebbi State has lost his younger brother, Alhaji Faruk Bagudu, Sun News reports.
Daily Sun reports that the business mogul died Wednesday night after a brief illness and has been buried according to Islamic rites Thursday morning.
While condoling Governor Bagudu and his entire family, Senator Yahaya Abdullahi, representing Kebbi North senatorial district, in a statement issued by his media aide, Jamil Yusuf Gulma, described his death as a great lost.
“Senator Dr Yahaya Abdullahi and the entire people of Kebbi North Senatorial district wish to condole with His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Kebbi state, Sen. Atiku Bagudu, over the death of his younger brother Alhaji Faruk Bagudu.
“The demise of Faruk Bagudu, who is an icon in the business sector in Kebbi, and the entire country at large, is a great loss.”
Senator Abdullahi prayed for the repose of the departed and that the family have the courage to bear the loss.
