After announcement of 43 out of 44 LGAs, the Peoples Democratic Party has taken the lead in Kano state.

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) is leading in Saturday's Kano state governorship election following the declaration of 43 out of 44 LGAs in the state as announced by the INEC Returning Officer at the state collation centre early Monday.
Abba Kabir Yusuf of the PDP is contesting against the incumbent governor and candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Abdullahi Umar Ganduje.
Currently, PDP now polled 960,004 votes as against APC’s 953,522 votes.
Thus, PDP is leading with a margin of 6,482 votes in the state.
Only that of Nasarawa local government area is yet to be presented, our reporter observed.
The session has gone on break to resume by 4am for continuation of the collation exercise.
