Country music star, Kevin Fowler has shared gruesome pictures of a friend's snakebite injuries after coming under fire for killing a rattlesnake.

After he posted snaps of the dead snake on Facebook, other users called him "stupid" for killing the animal. But he hit back with the sickening pictures, which shows his friend, Tommy's swollen hand before and after the sore popped.

In one snap, a huge, grey blister has formed that almost covers the man's entire palm and half of his fingers. A second picture shows the bloody aftermath of the blister being popped, with pus oozing out of the wound.

Kevin however defended the killing and said that all of the 'rattlesnake sympathizers' will change their tune after one of their kids gets bit while playing in their backyard.

The Rattlesnake

"Ran into this little fellow in my shed this week. Third one this month. All of you people who cry about folks killing rattlesnakes have probably never seen what it looks like when you get bit by one. The other two pics are of my buddy Tommy's hand after getting bit last year.

He's still going through surgeries and rehab. All of you rattlesnake sympathizers will change your tune when your kid gets bit playing in your backyard," He said.
