Dr Obiageli Ezekwesili, Nigeria’s former minister and co-founder of the BringBackOurGirls has been announced asForbes Woman Africa Social Influencer.
The awards recognise Africa’s top influential women in business, sports, science, entertainment and leadership.
The honour was bestowed on her recently at the Forbes Woman Africa Awards inaugural gala dinner, an event that held this March in Durban, South Africa.
At that same time, it was gathered, she has been named as one of the World’s 100 Most Influential People by Time Magazine, just as she has made the shortlist for the 2018 Nobel Peace Prize.
The list of recipients this year recipients Forbes awards included Dr. Divine Simbi-Ndhlukula (Forbes Woman Africa Businesswoman of the Year Award); Rachel Sibande (Forbes Woman Africa Gen Y Award); Caster Semenya (Forbes Woman Africa Sports Award); Sho Madjozi (Forbes Woman Africa Entertainer Award) and Uche Pedro (Forbes Woman Africa New Media Award) among others.
