Acting IG, Solomon Arase: Nigerian Police Force Loses 30 Men Every Month

The acting Inspector General of Police, Mr. Solomon Arase has been very active since taking charge of the new position. He revealed through his PR that the Police loses between 20-30 men each month.

According to NEW TELEGRAPH, Head, Press and Public Relations of the Police Service Commission (PSC), Mr. Ikechukwu Ani, quoted the Acting Inspector General of Police (IGP), Mr. Solomon Arase when making the disclosure during avisit to the Chairman of the Commission, Sir Mike Okiro. 
 
He said, ''Mr. Arase had earlier told the Commission that the Nigeria Police Force has been losing its men stressing that about 20 to 30 policemen are lost every month in Nigeria. These officers are hardly replaced, he said, adding that this has affected the strength of the Force. He appealed for urgent recruitment into the Force to ensure that the Force is well positioned to perform its duties.

''The acting IGP pledged the loyalty of the Police management team to the Commission and promised a cordial and fruitful relationship for the optimal effectiveness and efficiency of the Force.”
