The police have nabbed a he-goat of a father after he impregnated one of his daughters he has been sexually abusing for a long time.
A shameless father who impregnated one of his daughters after sleeping with her has been arrested and arraigned by the Police in Benue state.
The 42-year-old-man, Mr Thomas Akate, appeared before a Makurdi magistrate court for allegedly defiling his two daughters and impregnating one of the girls whose name is given as Miss Onazi Thomas.
The police prosecutor, Mr Omaye Ujata, told the court yesterday that one Francis Omanga of Adi Etulo, Buruku local government area had reported the matter at the Police B Division in Makurdi.
According to Ujata, the accused Thomas Akate, had forcefully engaged in sexual intercourse with his two daughters, Onazi 12, and Esther 10, without their consent, an offense contravening Section 390 of the Penal Code Laws.
It was gathered that one of the defiled daughters, Onazi conceived as a result of the constant forceful sexual intercourse with her father. But the accused, it was said had reportedly threatened to kill the victims if they exposed his unholy act. Although the accused had earlier confessed to the crime, he pleaded not guilty.
The magistrate, Mr David Agada, however, granted the accused bail in the sum of N50, 000 with one surety in the like sum but further. He adjourned the case till November 16, 2015 for hearing.
