South African police officers have been caught on camera assaulting a Nigerian man and trying to choke him during arrest.
A Nigerian man has been physically assaulted by South African police officers in Germiston area of the country.
The officers who accosted the man on the road did not say anything about why they were arresting him as they tackled him, choking and trying to strangle him.
The man's brother recorded the incident while asking the police the reason for his arrest.
The police officers who refused to state why they arrested the man forced him into their vehicle before zooming off. This is coming as two Nigerians were killed in the country recently after being followed to their homes by irate South Africans.
Nigerians have continued to be haunted in South Africa by security agents and citizens of the country for unjustified reasons.
