A woman that was viciously attacked by a jealous ex-boyfriend has been given a new lease of life. The woman who said she was depressed and scarred shared her horrifying story.
A relationship problem ended with the nose of a woman being bit off by a jealous ex-boyfriend. The mum-of-two managed to escape the heinous attack, which came despite an amicable break-up, but suffered serious facial injuries as a result.
The woman named Michele Messer gave graphic details of the incident, she said her ex-boyfriend named Chris Campbell invited her into his van for a chat. He immediately locked the doors and began hitting and biting her until she passed out, he even attempted to choke her to death.
Campbell was arrested and faces an attempted murder charge, but by then the damage was done. Most of the front of his former partner's nose had been torn from her face
Michele has found help at last after doctors performed a life-changing nose surgery to replace the ripped off flesh. She was depressed, scarred and felt out of place in the society.
Michele has reached out to the TV show The Doctors to express her heartfelt joy after plastic surgeons performed three complex operations for free to restore the nose and incredibly Michele's face now looks as good as new - with just a tiny scar visible at the top of her nose.
She said: “They made me feel so incredibly welcome and comfortable, just so warm-hearted and so giving it just means more to me than anything else.”
