The staged walk-out by the lawmakers of the People's Democratic Party, PDP during the ministerial confirmation process of the former Rivers state Governor, Rotimi Chibuke Amaechi over the allegations of corruption has reminded political enthusiasts about the saga that ushered in Musiliu Obanikoro from Lagos state as Minister.
In the earlier part of this year, the Senate's decision to confirm Senator Obanikoro as a minister was vehemently opposed by the APC, which led to a walk-out of the senators from the then opposition party.
Obanikoro's confirmation was opposed by the APC because of his involvement in the alleged rigging of Ekiti State gubernatorial election that saw to the emergence of Ayo Fayose.
