A 14-month-old girl has died in Qalyubiya after her uncle raped her.
According to Banha University Hospital, the child arrived dead to the hospital after a sharp fall in blood circulation. After doctors examined her body, they found out she was anally assaulted.
Her mother, who was trying to cover up for her brother claimed her baby died of diarrhea.
A further investigation however revealed that she was sexually assaulted by her 16-year-old uncle, who has confessed to the charge. He has now been detained pending further investigation.
