Tribunal Upholds Election of Abia State Governor

Okezie Ikpeazu who is the executive Governor of Abia state has emerged victorious at the election tribunal which charged his emergence as governor during the gubernatorial polls.

The Abia state governorship election petition tribunal has upheld the April 11th election of Abia state governor, Okezie Ikpeazu. The tribunal dismissed the petition of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) candidate in the election, Alex Otti, for lack of merit.
 
There were initial fears that the APGA candidate was close to unseating Ikpeazu due to the weight of his petition which was later discarded for not holding water.
