Actress Lindsay Lohan has reportedly turned to Islam after she was spotted by paparazzi carrying a copy of the Quran in New York.
Lindsay Lohan seems to have found solace in Islam after she was photographed carrying a copy of the Quran after her first day of community service in Brooklyn, New York, on Wednesday.
Lohan was ordered to embark on 125 hours of community service following a 2012 car crash in Los Angeles, after which she pleaded guilty to reckless driving and lying to police. She is due to work eight-hour a day at the children's centre if she must complete the order by the end of May.
The UK Daily Mail reports that the troubled actress, who is of Irish and Italian heritage and was raised as a Catholic, posted an Instagram image quoting the Quran and later deleted it but not before it was screen grabbed.
The news comes as the 28-year-old embarks on an 'emotional detox', giving up alcohol and dating.
