A foolish man lost his senses and descended on a woman for refusing to have sex with his friend.
A man who became angry that a woman refused to date his friend, decided to beat her up and break her smartphone, police in Nigeria said.
Nasarawa State police said that they have arrested 23-year-old Awal Abdullahi, after being accused of physically assaulting Halima Nasiru. Abdullahi was charged with use of criminal force and intimidation.
According to the police investigation, Abdullahi was angry that Nasiru, refused to go out on a date with his friend identified as Shettima.
On Thursday, Abdullahi approached Nasiru on the street and beat her up until she fell unconscious. He then smashed her cellphone and stole N5,000 in cash.
Before leaving the scene, Abdullahi threatened to kill the woman if she doesn’t go out on a date with Shettima. The woman suffered injuries all over her body and was transferred to a nearby hospital for treatment.
