The Nigerian military has recorded another major progress in its fight against insurgency as it arrested another major Boko Haram kingpin in the country.

The Boko Haram member is on the list of 100 suspects whose pictures were recently displayed by the army authorities, after one was  arrested on Sunday, November 8, by aviation authorities.

The Director of Army Public Relations (DAPR), Col. Sani Usman, disclosed this on Monday, November 9, in a statement, saying the suspect was apprehended at a security check point in Adamawa State.

“As all hands are on deck to finally defeat Boko Haram terrorists in our country, today (yesterday) in the morning, another wanted Boko Haram terrorist, Ishaku Wardifen, was nabbed by vigilant troops of 23 Brigade Special Battalion at a check point in Maiha, Adamawa State,” Usman said.

He stated that preliminary interrogation revealed that the suspected terrorist was a Camerounian citizen.

Usman said: “visual matching with photographs on the poster of the 100 wanted suspected Boko Haram terrorists list released by the Nigerian (Army) last month, shows that he clearly resembles the suspect on serial number 22 on the list.”
