The former governor of Benue state has been arraigned in court to answer to accusations of money laundering and fraud.

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission ( EFCC) has docked Gabriel Suswam, over allegations bordering on fraud while he held sway as the governor of the state.
Mr Suswam was arraigned alongside his Finance Commissioner , Omodachi Okolobia. The pair were slammed with a nine-count charge of money laundering running into millions of naira.
However, they have both pleaded not guilty to the charges when read out to them.
The matter is in on-going at the moment before Justice Ahmed Ramat Mohammed of a Federal High Court in Abuja.
