Former Governor Suswan and His Commissioner Arraigned in Court Over Fraud

The former governor of Benue state has been arraigned in court to answer to accusations of money laundering and fraud.

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission ( EFCC) has docked Gabriel Suswam, over allegations bordering on fraud while he held sway as the governor of the state.
 
Mr Suswam was arraigned alongside his Finance Commissioner ‎, Omodachi Okolobia. The pair were slammed with a nine-count charge of money laundering running into millions of naira.
 
However, they have both pleaded not guilty to the charges when read out to them.
 
The matter is in on-going at the moment before Justice Ahmed Ramat Mohammed of a Federal High Court in Abuja.
