Saudi Arabia Appoints First Ever Female Diplomat in a Foreign Country

In a historic feat, Saudi Arabia has announced the appointment of its first ever female Diplomat.

Saudi Arabia has appointed its first top female diplomat in a foreign country and the  woman has already taken up the post, emirates247 reports.
 
Hala Al Jafali was named Saudi Arabia’s honorary consul general in Saint Lucia, an island nation in the eastern Caribbean. 
 
The Saudi news network ‘Al Arabiya’ said Al Jafali travelled to Saint Lucia at the start of November to start her assignment as the Gulf Kingdom’s first consul abroad.
 
Located northeast of the island of Saint Vincent, northwest of Barbados and south of Martinique, Saint Lucia covers a land area of 617 sqkm and has a population of about 174,000. Its capital is Castries.
