A prankster was killed and his pal seriously injured when they rode a shopping trolley down a hill at 50mph and hit a car coming the other way.

Two Swedish men, both 28 were beaten to their own trick leading to the death of one when they hiked an abandoned trolley after midnight in a suburb of Sydney, Australia.
One of the prankster died at the scene and his pal sustained serious injuries after the trolley hit a car coming the other way at 50mph.
Police said, one got in and the other stood on the back as it freewheeled down a steep street leading to the city’s Coogee beach. The trolley crashed into a vehicle driving uphill, police said.
Detective Superintendent Gavin Dengate said: “The male that was in the shopping trolley was catapulted out, landing on a kerb on the southern side of the road. The other person landed after the collision in the middle of the road.
Chief Inspector Chris Stiles said the cart reached a speed of around 50mph. He said: “The estimate is that the men were travelling about 80 kilometres per hour in the trolley, so they had certainly gathered some speed. It sounds like they might have had a bit of fun together, resulting in this terrible incident.”
One of the men was studying in Australia and his friend had recently arrived in the country, reports said.
