Babatunde Raji Fashola, on Wednesday, November 11, became the nation's Minister in charge of Ministry of Power, Works and Housing.
The new ministry is the creation of the President Muhammadu-led government, which merged the former ministry of power with that of works and housing.
The move may not be unconnected with the confidence the President has in the former governor based on his performance in Lagos.
Meanwhile, the President, during the swearing-in ceremony, publicly confirmed himself as Minister of Petroleum Resources.
He also announced the Group Managing Director, GMD, of Nigeria National Petroleum Corporation, NNPC, as the Minister of State for Petroleum Ministry.
Former Rivers State Governor, Rotimi Amaechi was announced as Minister of Transport, while National Publicity Secretary of All Progressives Congress, APC, Lai Mohammed was named as Information Minister Former Anambra State governor, Senator Chris Ngige is Minister of Labour and Employment while former Finance Commissioner in Ogun State, Kemi Adeosun takes charge in the Minister of Finance
Okechukwu Enelamah (Abia) is Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment while Mohammed Musa Bello (Adamawa) is in charge of Federal Capital Territory, FCT.
