A former Vice Chancellor of a Nigerian university has been kidnapped while traveling along the road.

According to a report by Punch Metro, some gunmen on Thursday kidnapped Professor Valentine Aleto, the former Vice Chancellor of African University in Bayelsa State.
He was abducted along Elegbeka/Ipele Road in Ose Local Government Area of Ondo State, reports Channels Television.
Professor Aleto also was said to be travelling from Yenagoa in his personal vehicle along the road around 6:45 a.m. on Thursday, when the abduction happened.
It was gathered that the abductors have demanded N20 million as ransom.
