A young man has been apprehended by security operatives for killing her step-mother over an incident.

A 23-year-old Ahmed Abdullahi has allegedly killed his step mum with a knife.
The sad incident happened in Agyaragu area of Lafia, the capital of Nasarawa State on Friday night.
Eyewitnesses account revealed that he borrowed a knife from the neighbourhood and cut her on the leg.
She was said to have run out of their house shouting for help when he hit her to the ground after which she fell to the ground in panic.
It was gathered that he took his time and slit her throat.
She was rushed to the hospital where she was confirmed dead.
Similarly, mother of the alleged suspect ran away to safety when children of the deceased reportedly armed themselves and wanted to avenge the death of their mother
Police Public Relations Officer, ASP, Ramhan Nansel confirmed that the suspect has been arrested and investigation had begun.
