7 Key PDP Members Who Were Absent at PDP's National Conference

The leadership of the People's Democratic Party, PDP held its national conference yesterday, 12th of November in Abuja to implement some reforms in the party and some key figures were absent from the event.

 
The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, held its National Conference on Thursday 12th November in Abuja.

Deputy President of the Senate, Sen. Ike Ekweremadu, chaired the one day conference of the party themed: “PDP and the Sustenance of Democratic Ideals in Nigeria”.

Some of PDP's key members were however missing from the conference. Those absent according to Leadership include:

(1) Former President Goodluck Jonathan,
(2) Former senate president David Mark,
(3) Former national chairman of the party Adamu Mu’azu
(4) Vincent Ogbulafor.
(5) Founding father of the party Chief Alex Ekwueme,
(6) Governor of Ekiti State Ayo Fayose,
(7) Former secretary to the federation, Sen. Anyim Pius Anyim.
 
Several political pundits claim their absence speaks volume of the crisis in the party as some members are beiginning to lose faith in the capability of the party to make a comeback in the 2019 general elections as anticipated.
