A furious man has disrupted peace in an Enugu community as he killed his younger brother in a fight
A man, Nggwoke Chukwudi, has brutally killed his younger brother, Sunday Ngwu, in a fight high in Umuokara Orba town in Udenu local government area of Enugu State.
According to Leadership, it was gathered that the suspect killed his brother on Saturday night with a piece of iron while they were fighting over a yet to be ascertained reason.
The Enugu State police public relations officer, Ebere Amaraizu, confirmed the ugly development.
He said, “It was gathered that the suspect identified as one Ngwoke Chukwudi, the elder brother to the deceased brother identified as one Ngwu Sunday of the same mother but not of the same father. Ngwoke had engaged his younger brother now deceased who was believed to be about 25 years in a fight over a yet to be established issue/issues and in that process allegedly hit Ngwu Sunday with a piece of iron on the head and he fell down and became unconscious.
“It was further gathered that efforts made to revive him as he was rushed to a nearby hospital proved abortive as the medical doctor on duty confirmed him dead.
“Meanwhile, operatives of the state command of the police have commenced full-scale investigations into the alleged incident with a view to arresting the suspect who after committing the act took to his heels.”
