The newly appointed, Attorney General of the Federation, Abubakar Malami has been sternly invited by a Federal High court in Abuja to offer explanations about the prolonged siege at the residence of former NSA, Sambo Dasuki by DSS operatives.

A Federal High Court sitting in Abuja, on Monday requested the presence of the Attorney General of the Federation, Abubakar Malami, to explain why its order regarding the former National Security Adviser, Sambo Dasuki, was not adhered to, Premium Times reports.
Justice Adeniyi Ademola of the Federal High Court, Abuja, had on Friday reacted angrily to the siege on Mr. Dasuki’s house despite an earlier ruling he gave permitting the retired colonel to travel abroad for medical treatment.
“My own orders will not be flouted” the judge said on Friday, while re-iterating his stance that the former security chief be allowed to travel for medical treatment.
The judge, who had earlier instructed the AGF to be present at the court for Monday’s hearing, held that the matter would require Mr. Malami’s presence to continue. At Monday’s hearing, counsel to Mr Malami, Tayo Abidogu, asked the court to give more time to his client, explaining that the AGF was still new in office and would need to be briefed about the developments.
He noted that his client had a high degree of respect for the rule of law, and added that the court should give them time to be briefed properly on the matter.
