Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers, has sought to motivate the Super Eagles ahead of their game against Swaziland on Tuesday, by promising them $20,000 per goal.
In a bid to motivate the National team ahead of a crunch clash, Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike, has promised the Super Eagles $20,000 per goal ahead of their game against Swaziland on Tuesday by 4:00pm.
The Super Eagles of Nigeria will take on the Southern Africa team in a 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifier in Port Harcourt and the promise was revealed on the Eagles’ official Twitter handle.
"Rivers State Government pledges $20k per goal against Swaziland. #SoarSuperEagles," the handle tweeted.
Kenneth Kobani, Secretary to the Rivers State Government, was also pictured with the players during a training session on Monday.
Sunday Oliseh’s men failed to score in the first leg, as they were held to a 0-0 draw in Lobamba last Friday.
