Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) through its General Manager, Corporate Affairs in Abuja has released a very important statement on behalf of the aviation body to the general public.

Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) is not recruiting and any information to that effect is false and misleading, a statement said.

The statement, issued by Mr Yakubu Dati, General Manager, Corporate Affairs, FAAN, in Abuja on Tuesday, urged the public to disregard such information.

The statement said the last recruitment in the authority took place between March and May, adding that it was the recruitment of officers into the Airport Rescue and Fire Fighting Service. It added that the exercise also recruited personnel into Aviation Security and Information, Communication Technology departments.

He said that the recruitment was sequel to shortage of professional staff in the two departments.

“We wish to emphasise that no recruitment is taking place in FAAN at the moment.

“This is more so because it has come to our notice that fraudulent recruitment agents and questionable recruitment websites are deceiving applicants.

“They are in some cases, duping unsuspecting applicants by giving out misleading information about an on-going recruitment in FAAN.

“Please, be informed that the only and authentic website that belongs to the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria is www.faan.gov.ng,’’ the statement said.
