Two Air France planes were diverted Tuesday night after reports of bomb scares.
The airline management made this known today in a statement.
According to Air France, Flight AF055 from Washington DC to Paris and AF065 from Los Angeles were the subject of "anonymous threats after their respective take-offs."
The flights landed in Halifax and Salt Lake City respectively. This was "As a precautionary measure and to conduct all necessary safety checks"
The airline said: "An investigation will be led by the authorities to identify the source of the telephone call."
The passengers on the flights were safe.
The Royal Canadian Mounted Police in Nova Scotia (RCMPNS) released a tweet, “Searches of plane and luggage concluded. No explosive device found.”
Meanwhile, Air France confirmed Flight AF065 that landed in Salt Lake City, has departed and is en-route to Paris Charles-De-Gaulle airport.
