The Inspector-General of Police has reportedly suspended the rally of a faction of the APC scheduled for Benin.

According to Punch Metro, Mr Mohammed Adamu, the Inspector-General of Police, has suspended the rally of a faction of the All Progressives Congress scheduled for Benin, Edo State, on Friday.
The faction is loyal to the National Chairman of the party, Mr Adams Oshiomhole.
The IG’s letter suspending the rally was communicated to the Deputy Governor of the state, Mr Philip Shuaibu, about one hour ago.
The deputy governor showed a copy of the letter to reporters in Abuja.
