Why I Shut Down MVP Lounge - AY

Stand-up Comedian, AY has confirmed that his club, MVP Lounge, which was opened to a lot of fanfare last September has been shut, albeit temporarily.

It is no longer news that stand up comedian, actor/movie producer and business entrepreneur, Ayo Makun or simply AY, has shut down his MVP Lounge less than eight months after it was opened with a lavish party.

What is news, however, is the comedian's statement that the exquisite lounge, located in Lekki Phase 1, Lagos, would be re-opened for business soon as 'fresh hands' are brought in to run the place.

Confirming the closure of the lounge, AY, who spoke to Encomium magazine, said it is nothing but a temporary measure. "It's not as if MVP has closed down business for good. We want to bring in fresh hands to run the place. For us it's better to close our doors for a while and restrategise than things to get wrong. We need better and able hands to run the lounge".
