A couple who have spent 11 years together have had their union severed over the woman's facebook romance.
An Ado Ekiti Customary Court, has dissolved an 11-year-old marriage over Facebook adultery.
ThisDay reports that the marriage was between a businessman, 42-year-oldMuyiwa Owolabi and his wife, 40-year-old Tinuola.
Following suspicion that his wife was having illicit affairs through Facebook messages, Muyiwa had filed a petition at the court accusing the respondent of serial adultery and sexual escapades, tendering evidence to substantiate his claim.
In his judgment, court president, Joseph Ogunsemi, held that from the available evidence before the jury and the fact that both parties are living apart, the union has broken down irretrievably.
