Atiku in his message on Wednesday prayed that the sacrifices of fallen soldiers may not be in vain in Nigeria.

Atiku Abubakar, a former Vice President, has felicitated with fallen soldiers in celebration of Armed forces remembrance day.
On January 15, Nigeria marks the celebration of Armed Forces Remembrance Day, a day to appreciate and celebrate fallen heroes and our men and women in the military, who work round the clock to keep the nation safe.
Atiku in his message on Wednesday prayed that the sacrifices of fallen soldiers may not be in vain in Nigeria.
He offered his prayers and support to the families of fallen soldiers.
On his Twitter page, Atiku wrote: “As always, I remember our fallen heroes who gave their lives for our nation. I remain grateful and indebted for their service and sacrifice.
“My thoughts and prayers are with their families and friends. May their sacrifices never be in vain.”
Also, Immediate past senate resident, Bukola Saraki honoured the soldiers who sacrificed their lives to keep Nigeria safe.
In a post on his Twitter page, Saraki wrote: “Today, I honour the memory and sacrifice of the men and women of the Nigerian Armed forces who have given their lives in the embodiment of the words of the Nigerian National Pledge, “…to defend her unity and uphold her honour and glory.
“I thank you and your families for your sacrifice. I also honour the commitment and sacrifice of men and women of the Nigerian Armed Forces who are deployed in active service in various locations across the Nation.
“As a country, we appreciate your commitment to the call of duty and your willingness to stand on the line to keep our country and its citizens safe and secure. Thank you.”
