How Two Children Who Were Abducted From Borno Were Rescued In Taraba

Two children who were abducted in Borno state have been reportedly found in Taraba state.

The Taraba State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps on Thursday said it has rescued two abducted children from Borno State in Lau Local Government area of Taraba on Wednesday.

State Commandant of the Corps, Alhaji Aliyu Ndanusa, who disclosed this to newsmen in Jalingo said the two children were abducted from their community in Askira Uba in Borno state.

He explained that men of the command got the information about the evil act through intelligence and trailed the abductors to their hideout in Lau.

Ndanusa said the abductors ran away on sighting the operatives of the NSCDC, leaving the two children behind.

The commandant named the children as Yakubu Usman, 9, and Umaru Muhammed, 7, both from Askira Uba community in Borno State.

According to him, the command has since contacted the family and the children will soon be reunited with their families.

The commandant, who noted that there was no hiding place for criminals in Taraba, said men of the command were working tirelessly to apprehend the abductors and urged the public to be security-conscious to avoid such an incidence.
