A huge turtle has been caught by men working on a road construction project in the Niger Delta part of Nigeria.
The leatherback turtle
This mighty leatherback turtle was captured by workers under the SEEFOR road construction project in Foropa kingdom.
The sea animal was nabbed by the workers after their day at work in the kingdom situated in Bayelsa State.
The unlucky animal was captured with a large net after which life was snuffed out of it. The workers rejoiced aloud as they prepared to make a sumptuos meal out of it.
Many Nigerians have frowned at the killing of the endangered specie of aquatic animal as they feel it should have been spared like its done abroad.
