The election of Samuel Ortom as the Governor of Benue State has been confirmed by the Supreme Court.

According to Punch Metro, the Supreme Court, on Tuesday, affirmed the election of Samuel Ortom as the Governor of Benue State, dismissing an appeal by Emmanuel Jime, candidate of the All Progressives Congress in the last governorship election.
The panel of seven Justices led by Justice Olabode Rhodes-Vivour dismissed the appeal filed by the APC and its governorship candidate for lacking in merit.
