Rabiu Kwankwaso of Kano State leaves behind N200 billion in debts and 92 abandoned road projects

Officials with the State treasury in Kano state have revealed that the Governor is leaving behind a debt of over N200 billion.

Unconfirmed reports say that Kano state with the largest population in Nigeria, also has one of the highest debts among all States.
 
The current Governor, Rabiu Kwankwaso will have a lot of questions to answer if the reports of the State owing over N200 billion in debts, is true.
 
PREMIUM TIMES reports that the disclosure was made by an official of the state’s treasury department who spoke anonymously. 
 
The unnamed official said, ''We have a dicey situation at hand more especially against the dwindling income, and we seem helpless because all these mess would be transferred to the incoming administration''.
 
The source who begged not to be named also revealed that the state has a bill of over N200 million as unpaid advert bill to media houses. 
 
Like as if all the debts aren't enough, the official also claims that Rabiu Kwankwaso will be leaving behind 92 abandoned road projects.
