Igbo Businessman Dies After Losing N36m to Partner

A businessman who was duped by a close friend died because he could not cope with the tragic situation.

 
A man identified as Ikechukwu Ezeanyagu has died in his room after he was allegedly duped of N36m by his businesss partner abroad, according to PMnews reports.
 
It was gathered that Ezeanyagu sent N36m to his business partner abroad to bring in some goods, but he was told after waiting for months that the money was used to trade in hard drugs from another country and the business failed. 
 
Ezeanyagu who could not contain himself at the sad news was said to have become agitated and depressed. The goods he requested and his money had vanished into thin air. The partner pleaded with Ezeanyagu to bear the loss as he had already incurred heavy debts abroad. The man was said to have entered his room and didn't come out alive.
 
The incident happened at Nwaora street in Awada layout in Onitsha, Anambra State, southern Nigeria, where he resided with his wife who was childless after many years of marriage.
 
The late Ezeanyagu hailed from Akukwa village in Umuchu town in Aguata local government area, while his partner is from Achina town also in the local government area. 
 
His corpse has been deposited at the Visitation Hospital mortuary pending when he will buried.
