Members of Nnamdi Kanu's family were present during the thanksgiving service held in honour of the IPOB leader's late monarch.

A thanksgiving service has been held in honour of Late HRH Eze Israel Okwu Kanu and Lolo Sally Okwu Kanu, the parents of  the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu.
 
The thanksgiving service took place at St. Andrew’s Anglican Church Isiama Afaraukwu Ibeku Umuahia, Abia State on 16th, February 2020.
 
The event came after the burial of His Royal Majesty Eze Israel Okwu Kanu, the traditional ruler of Afaraukwu Community in Umuahia North and his wife, the parents of Nnamdi Kanu took place on Friday the 14th of February 2020.
