Reliable sources have revealed to us that a large number of aggrieved members of the PDP are planning to join their APGA and Labour counterparts to defect to the APC.

With May 29th just around the corner, there are last minute rushes from various politicians from their various parties, trying to break into the APC ranks.

The executives and members of the All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA) and Labour Party in Ebonyi state have concluded plans to join the All Progressives Congress (APC), Vanguard reports.

The report said Development Centre coordinators, caretaker committee chairmen and stakeholders from the 13 local government areas of the state have been holding series of meetings and negotiations on the move since the general elections.

The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) candidate in Ebonyi State, Dave Umahi, was declared winner of the April 11 governorship election.

It was gathered that some of the aggrieved members of the PDP are also planning to join their APGA and Labour counterparts to join the APC.

It is however believed that the mass defection by this group to the APC may be to seek political protection from the Buhari government, which has threatened to probe all development centre coordinators for their alleged involvement in misappropriation of public funds during their tenur.
